Elliot

Rather than positioning myself as an authority, I view therapy as a collaborative and relational process where we work together to explore the meanings you have made of your experiences.

How I Practice

You've got a story to tell. Maybe you're an emerging adult trying to find your footing and belonging. Maybe you're a hood-adjacent working professional navigating identity and corporate power gradients. Every chapter—both the joyfuland the painful—has shaped who you are today. Sometimes the weight of life's experiences can leave you feeling stuck or disconnected from yourself and others. I collaborate with people who are feeling overwhelmed, unheard, or unsure of how to navigate emotions. People make meaning of their lives through stories, and these stories are shaped by relationships, culture, language, experiences and systems of power. To that end, I am dedicated to working with individuals part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, teenagers (14-17), transitional age youth, adults, and beyond.

Narrative Therapy offers a non-pathologizing stance and is attentiveness to cultural, relational, and systemic contexts. This framework allows me to hold both personal responsibility and social awareness, recognizing how larger societal narratives around race, gender, ability, family roles, and success can shape internalized beliefs. With this foundation, I draw from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address imbalances surrounding behavior, complex emotions, and intrusive thoughts. DBT is used to hold space for one or more realities of your life or situation and finding balance through emotional regulation and coping skills. Meanwhile, ACT encourages you to lean into rather than resist uncomfortable emotions and finding value in your experience. I am committed to practicing with empathy and curiosity, approaching each client with a genuine desire to understand your unique story rather than making assumptions or imposing interpretations.

Rather than positioning myself as an authority, I view therapy as a collaborative and relational process where we work together to explore the meanings you have made of your experiences. My goal is to help you move from feeling defined by hardship toward recognizing yourself as a capable individual whose story is still being written. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and build tools that help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control. It’s time for you to tell your story.
